FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is your hourly rate?
We typically prefer to avoid billing by the hour and would rather provide a quote to the customer so that we can give you a guaranteed price for the work that needs to be completed. This way there are no surprise costs to the customer
What are your hours of operation?
For normal repairs and maintenance where the customer isn't in any danger, we schedule work between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday. We are on call 24/7 should you ever find yourself in a potentially hazardous situation. There are additional charges for emergency call outs, but we will get someone out as soon as possible to ensure your safety. The electrician will let you know if your situation constitutes an emergency and requires immediate service
What would a typical payment schedule look like for larger projects?
For larger projects that require multiple days and ordering of materials etc (large renovations, service upgrades, generator installs) we generally collect a 50% deposit to secure scheduling and order all necessary parts for the work, and bill for the rest after completion.
Do you offer free estimates and how much will the electrical work cost?
We believe you have a right to know in advance what the cost of your electrical work will be. We offer competitive prices and once we identify your electrical problem, we will provide you with an accurate electrical quote upfront, so there are no surprises.
What areas do Premium Electric Service?
Our Abbotsford electricians primarily service communities throughout the Fraser Valley including Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley, Aldergrove, and Surrey. We are also willing to travel and have helped clients in communities throughout the Vancouver Lower Mainland including Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Poco, and Maple Ridge. How soon can you be here?
Premium Electric offers a 24-hour emergency electrical service, otherwise, we can schedule a service call at a time that will work for you! In most cases, any electrical work we do can be completed within the first visit.
Are all your electricians licensed?
This is an important question in terms of electrician FAQs. Yes. All our Abbotsford electricians are fully licensed and insured electrical contractors, and skilled at providing both commercial electrical and residential electrical services. Premium Electric insists on hiring and training the best to ensure a high quality of workmanship on all electrical repairs and installations.
Do you provide a warranty for electrical work?
Yes! Premium Electric provides warranties and guarantees all the electrical work that we do for quality and safety.
Will I be without power?
Our commercial and residential electricians can complete most of the work without having to cut power to the entire home or commercial building. If the power does need to be turned off, our Abbotsford electricians will inform you in advance.
What if you find other electrical issues?
On occasion, we may find other electrical issues that the client wasn’t aware of. In most cases, with your authorization, we are able to provide you with a price and address any other electrical problems we may find within the same visit.
What if the electrical work I need is just a small job?
No electrical job is too small when safety is a concern. Even small annoying electrical problems can lead to something more dangerous and should be addressed immediately.
Can I ask an electrician a technical question?
Our main dispatcher is also our service manager, so he is very capable of answering any technical questions you may have. After you have had a chance to go over the technical aspect of things with Tristan (604-308-6195), we will have our office staff contact you to set up a schedule if required.
Can you complete the work the same day as the quotation is provided?
Obviously, this depends on each individual situation and the amount of work required, as well as other variables such as whether parts & materials will have to be ordered in. We will let you know at the time of booking if we will be able to complete the work the same day, and will schedule you accordingly so that the technician has ample time to complete all tasks safely and effectively
What other electrical services do you provide?
Our commercial and residential electricians are licensed to service most problems. My work has been quoted, when can I expect the quoted work to now be completed?
After you have accepted the quotation, we will do our best to work with your schedule and book you in as soon as possible. We are usually able to have someone out within 5-7 business after the quote has been accepted, if not sooner.
Where are you located, and what areas do you service?
Premium Electric is located in Abbotsford BC. We primarily work in the Fraser Valley (Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Agassiz etc), as well as in the Greater Vancouver area including Surrey, Langley, White Rock, Pitt Meadows, Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Burnaby.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We have portable card readers for customers to pay with either credit card or debit. We can also accept credit card payments over the phone for customer convenience. Other accepted payment methods include e-transfer, cheque, and cash.
